I lift up my eyes to the mountains where does my help come from?
My help comes from the Lord, the Maker of heaven and earth. - PSALM 121 : 1-2

Persecuted Christians

The Lord Jesus Christ said that His people would be persecuted. Many Christian bible Ministires (CBC Ministry) pastors and church members suffer persecution for their faith.

During 2008, severe persecution in Orissa state climaxed and resulted in thousands of Christians being murdered and many Christian chapels, houses and possessions were destroyed. The Lord directed CBC to transport 167 persecuted Christian families from Orissa state to Andhra Pradesh state to save their lives. These Christians were chosen from amongst others because they had lost all their possessions including their homes.

Since then CBC have borrowed money and bought 4 acres of land at $14000 per acre on the Andhra Pradesh/ Orissa border in Andhra Pradesh state and provided basic necessities to these refugees. CBC still owes a lot of money on this land. Donations here, small or large are most welcome.

During 2010 CBC were able to relocate to various parts of Orissa and Andhra Pradesh states all these Christian refugee families and were able to find jobs for all of them. It is expected that some refugees will need to return to this land.

This major project has been a great success. All the glory goes to the Lord Jesus Christ Who led the way and provided the good outcome.

At the time of the 2008 persecution CBC also picked up 50 orphans, generally of parents who were murdered for their faith in Christ. These orphans are being looked after in our newly built Orissa Children's home which was built on the land purchased for the refugees

Persecution can arise without much notice. On a number of occasions when they prayed CBC has seen the Lord Jesus Christ prevent it when it has been threatening.
